Professional footballers invest in Padel – aims to build 300 courts in five years

Footballers Jamie Vardy and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are investing in padel. The players contributed to an investment by the padel company Game4Padel.

More and more celebrities are choosing to invest in the sport internationally. A few weeks ago, Padel Alto reported that Cristiano Ronaldo will be part of a padel investment on the edge of Lisbon.

Now it is also understood that footballers Jamie Vardy and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are investing in the sport. The Padel Paper writes that the players contributed to the latest funding round for the company Game4Padel, which raised more than 2 million euros, increasing the company’s value to almost 29 million euros.

Game4Padel has 15 padel centres in the UK today. According to the news site, the company aims to build 300 courts within the next five years.

The company has a number of well-known investors. Last year, Premier League footballer Virgil Van Dijk of Liverpool FC joined Game4Padel. Two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is also an investor.
